As you've probably seen we've recently changed our name. We've worked as Positive Pet Training for over ten years and absolutely loved it! So we just want to explain the rationale behind the change.

Our work focus has shifted with Dr Katie Friel-Russell now only seeing veterinary behaviour cases.

Positive Pet Behaviour Vet

Our new name reflects Dr Katie’s expertise and our commitment to truly understanding dogs and their behaviour. As a veterinary behaviourist, she focuses on treating emotionally driven behaviours by addressing medical, learned, and emotional factors, ensuring the best possible outcomes. At the heart of our work are our Veterinary Behaviour Consults, and our new DIY Veterinary Behaviour Consults, designed to support dogs struggling with behavioural challenges and improve quality of life for both them and their families.

What About Training?

We still do a lot of training, but currently it is all through online, self paced courses. This enables us to help as many dogs as possible at once. Imagine if every dog guardian could learn from a qualified veterinary behaviourist? What a great impact we could have if all preventative training was effective, force-free and science based?

Our key stone courses of Understanding Your Dog, Life Skills and Life Stages courses are designed to support your dog, improve your relationship with them and prevent problems from occurring. And even more training courses are on their way very soon!
